Pulled by cable from the top on the way up. On the way down, gravity is pulling it and letting the cable out is regulating the speed. The green/white wheels inbetween the tracks are cable guides.

Also in the area is the Johnstown Inclined Plane, which is higher and steeper than the ones in Pittsburgh.

One of the Lost Inclines was a freight job parallel to the Mon Incline. It was torn down in 1935 though.
